As a result of new regulations implemented by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in the Philippines, all local numbers in the Metro Manila neighboring areas will change from 7 to 8 digits in length (or from 10 to 11 digits including the country code of +63). The numbering change is designed to support the long-term projected growth of the Philippines Telecommunications market.
