How to set up a conference call

Our cloud-based Conference Call Software enables scheduling, participation and management of meetings – before, during and after the call. The Speakserve Call Portal is an useful online management tool but is not necessarily required to set up and start a call.

Conference Call Management

Step 1

Choose a time and date for your conference call to take place.

Conference Phone Access

Step 2

Schedule your call - send a message including date, time, telephone access numbers and participant PIN to all attendees. Do not share the host PIN. Invites can be created manually or by using our call portal.

How to Make a conference call

Step 1

Call your local dial-in number to access the conference service.

Step 2

Once prompted, enter your conference room number.

Step 3

The chair enters the chair pin, participants enter with the participant pin.

Step 4

Record your name followed by the # key

Step 5

Wait for others to join, and your meeting will begin.

In-call controls can be accessed by pressing * and choosing one of the following options.

 

Chairman Controls

As the chairman, you can control your conference from your telephone keypad.

Participant Controls

Participant controls are available on lines connected through a participant pin.

After your Conference Call
Optional Features

  • Call Summary – An emailed summary of participants with Caller ID.
  • Call Referencing – A cost centre or matter number can be added to the call to aid your accounts department.
  • Real-Time Billing – At the end of each call, your bill is immediately updated and detailed call costs can be viewed on the Speakserve Portal.
  • Digital Transcription and Analytics – If your call has been recorded you are able to create a digital transcription and analyse your conversation with keyword search via the Speakserve Portal.
  • Call Recording – If you have chosen to record your call, you will receive an email with a link to listen or download your call recording. You are also able to access your call recording in the Speakserve Portal.
